Haar & Woods lawyers have strong
community ties and have served on the St. Louis Board of Police
Commissioners and the St. Louis Sports Commission. Members of the
firm are also actively involved in the professional community. This
includes service on the District Judge Education Advisory Committee
of the Federal Judicial Center, to which one of our lawyers was
appointed by the Chief Justice of the United States. Members of
our firm have chaired the Civil Justice Reform Act Advisory Group
for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of
Missouri, the Business Law Section of the Bar Association of St.
Louis, and that organization’s Litigation Reform Task Force.
This commitment to the community is also reflected in pro bono work.
Our lawyers were recently recognized by one of the City’s
most prominent neighborhood organizations for the defense under
the First Amendment of neighborhood residents who were sued for
their public participation in efforts to address problem rental
properties.
